Week in Review: Pie-Eyed Self-Pity Edition
Well, this was the week that was. (?) Drink up to another seven days of mediocrity at the Pie-Eyed Picayune. And, really, Mandingo...we know that you're sooo busy, but what happened to "Phraseology"? Another piece of refuse in the recylcing bin of history?

Week in Review: The Silence is Deafening Edition
The lazy, hazy, dog days of summer are upon us, and the Pie-Eyed Krewe is feeling the effects. Sure, it's been a slow week...but what about the content? Marginal, as usual.
- Anti-Everything offers everyone a chance to make an "informed decision" on the AG race, while Xtra throws down his endorsement from light-years away
- Ilya comes out of the closet as a pedant. As if we didn't know...
- AFF comes back with a vengeance, discussing the finer points of keeping prisoners alive in order to kill them
- The first Pie-Eyed Party consisted of three contributors, two baskets of free popcorn, some condescending laughter at those "other" people participating in a trivia game, and one-and-a-half beers shared among all
- A Green Cowboy seeks to resolutely crush those who live on the coasts
- Ilya, Maureen Dowd, and yet another "zing" ... weird

Week in Review: A Day Without A Mandingo Edition
The Pie-Eyed Network continues to skyrocket onward and upward, despite Mandingo's sabbatical. Perhaps our next Pie-Eyed Poll should be a referendum on his adminstrative service...
- Pied gets taken to task for citing inaccurate numbers. Sheesh...that'll teach me not to cite my source
- Klobuchar pulls ahead of Kennedy in the polls; Hatch runs even with Teflon Tim; and don't forget about those Jesse the Mind afficianados
- Xtra's feeling the heat
- Our president uses some rrreal cowboy language to describe what Syria oughtta do; next thing you'll know, he'll be telling Kim Jong Il to shove those nukes where the sun don't shine
- Mandingo's alter-ego, Herr Diktator, blew himself up in a bunker
- GC offers a thoughtful explanation of jihad; but what about the environmental impact?
- The ever-provocative Anti-Everything garners praise and recriminations over his high school senior thesis paper: Is Israel a Terrorist State?
- One guy drops out of the election and it sets off a chain reaction in the local political world...and Joe Q. Citizen has no idea what's going on
- Bush to NAACP: "Freedom." Fox News commentators: "Brilliant!"

Week in Review: Casual Friday Edition
The combination of skank-nasty heat and Friday giddiness has apparently caused our Pie-Eyed Contributors to relax both language and grammar standards. After two days of conversation covering foreign policy issues with North Korea and environmental policy, we've devolved considerably. Sure, we can't be serious all the time, but can't we be decent? A review:
- GinCo (biloba) gave us a recap of the World Cup final...from the Wyoming perspective.
- Ilya outted himself as an anti-Amerrrrcan, writing himself a one-way ticket to Guantanamo
- Mandingo began a worthy experiment, turning the blog inside-out and further alienating us from our massive "readership"
- Anti-Everything introduced us to the North Korea problem, Pied shouted him down over a technicality in the Japanese Constitution (see also Mandingo's optipessimism and X's MADness)
- 'Dingo plugged open defiance of city ordinances
- P.Piper threw out the "green" question, which was responded to with calls for a gas tax, and an escalation to war over Xtra's ideology
- Anti-Everything expressed some displeasure with Congress. Not sure what that was all about...
Looking ahead: If you've got nothing better to do this weekend than melt into a cesspool, feel free to join me at the Hopkins Raspberry Festival! I'll be sweating off so many pounds, I fully expect to be thinner than a wisp of Mandingo's Mustache come Sunday.

Week in Review: PeP at 10,000
- Not sure if anyone's paying attention to the hit counter at the bottom of the blog, but...the PeP has reached 10,000 hits. I don't really know how to say this, but, we're kind of a big deal.
- Ilya deconstructs the meek shall inherit the earth theory, and says, "Oligarchs beware!"
- Mandingo makes us all pine to hear Carly Simon belt out "You're so vain," one more time. You probably think this post is about you. Don't you. Don't you. Don't you.
- Archduke zings the hapless Vikings, thereby joining the chorus.
- Anti-Everything: just itching to be controversial.
- Xtra breaks the conspiracy of silence. Are you sure Tom Harkin isn't the reincarnation of Christ?
- PiedPiper dives back into the fold after a hiatus in Red State America. Too bad nobody told him they drained the pool...and put spikes at the bottom.

Week in Review: of Epidemic Proportions
Ilya tackles the Fed, illustrates his curious communist leanings, and equates a US senator with Dr. Evil. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the reprise of Bush's siren song. Not a bad week.- PiedPiper goes down all the way to Chucktown for Halloween, pickles Randy Kelly, and calls for all prosecution, all the time.
- Archduke showers some PeP glory on the neglected few...and then showers some more.
- Get Pissed. Anti-Everything unleashes the League of Pissed-Off Voters recommendations.
- Mandingo throws something down just to stay in the game. Ames High sucks.
- Xtra...the silence is deafening.
Wasn't there anything else going on this week? Nah...just an indictment, another pasty, white dude appointed to SCOTUS, and informative information on Minnesota's preparations for the bird flu.
Be hearty; be humble, PePpers!

Week in Review: Either the Best or Worst Week Ever
- Ilya knows Bush's heart...and it's red, about the size of a fist, and not at all "heart-shaped."
- Hey ho, hey ho, down the Hatch we go! And let this be a lesson to all you campaigners out there; the PeP can be bought...and it really doesn't cost that much.
- Harriet Miers came and went faster than a sailor in the Port of Rio De Janeiro.
- Xtra is good ol' crony at heart. And what, may I ask, is the matter with unaccredited law schools? You're such an East Coast conservative elitist.
- For whom does the bell toll? 2,000 US war dead...and 30,000 Iraqis.
- And, of course, not to forget the elephant (on crutches) in the room: Welcome to Scootstock.

Week in Review: Fall of an Icon
- PiedPiper throws himself at the mercy of Roy's Rock, and suggests a Wetterling-Klobuchar ultimate-fighting match.
- Ilya makes a desperate plea to find a friend.
- Xtra makes reentry to Minnesota; surprisingly, they allow him across the border.
- Mandingo offends half of world's population; digs deep into the Vikings' sex party; seeks to destroy Powerline; and goes from most-favored blogger status to probation in two shakes of a lamb's tail.
- Anti-Everything? Bah.
- Shameless plug: I've added a link to my friend Der Staubsager's nascent blog - The StuSie - which you can find in the right colulmn. If you're tired of reading about out bloviations on Minnesota and US politics, take a break by reading his musings on the European systems.

Week in Review
- PiedPiper quotes Alanis Morissette, delivers a State of the Blog address, and recites his class notes (much to ire of his fellow PePpers).
- Ilya goes on a rampage and revels in his single status.
- Xtra falls silent, even on his "other" blog.
- Mandingo reveals his tasteless humor, reports on the happenings at the Neighborhood Group for the People's Republic of Seward, and wants the world to know just how uber-hip he really is.
- Anti-Everything breaks his seal with some serious soul-searching. Search on, brother.
In other news...
- (Not) Surprise of the Week: Northwest Airlines files for bankruptcy...and the union strikes on.
- Randy Kelly gets trounced in St. Paul mayoral primary, and I'm going to go ahead and start a completely unfounded conspiracy theory that when he loses the general election in November, he'll switch parties and challenge Betty McCollum for US House of Representatives, 4th District.
- David Brooks...wow.
- George W. Bush: A Closet Socialist? What's better, a tax-and-spend liberal or a don't-tax-and-deficit-spend conservative?

Week in Review
Let's see...
- PiedPiper was held up at gunpoint;
- New Orleans has descended into anarchy, and we want heads to roll;
- President Bush had to cut short his vacation;
- About 1,000 people died in a human stampede in Iraq, when merely the rumor of a suicide bomber went through the crowd;
- Ilya can't break an egg; and
- Xtra flogged a dead horse.
All things considered, not a bad week.
