- Minnesota Meltdown 2005 enters Day Six, and I have to ask myself, if this is what life's like without government, should I just become a libertarian? Legislators are making little to no progress (my guess is that it's more on the "no" side than the "little"), and obscure pols with nothing left to do are attempting to sidle up to the electorate and take advantage of the "death to incumbent" attitude that is sure to follow. The only question that remains: who's going to cave? But hey-at least we made into the NYTimes!
- St. Paul mayoral candidates have begun filing for the big race (September 13 is the non-partisan primary that will determine the two candidates). Let's all vote for the Green Party candidate so Randy Kelly doesn't even make it on the ballot.
- More proof the Republican Party does not own God and morality.
- UofM Campus Police Report: Serial peeping tom and passing out in public places.
- Strib gives a shout-out to late Luther Vandross: bomp chicka bomp bomp.
- A story of political canvassing only too likely to be repeated.
