SmartCar Coming to the States...
starting January 08. Base pricing will be 12k. I don't think the SmartCar will retail that widely. I think its primary markets will be super eco-friendly environs where it functions as environmentally friendly consumption one-upsmanship over a Prius. Think Portland not Manhattan.

I guess 20,000 pre-sales reservations is kinda' limited...
Good point. I may yet again be looking like an absolute fool. That said, I don't know whether that will translate into sustained demand. The Solstice for instance was hugely anticipated and had significant pre-orders but their sales have tailed off significantly, though, it has still been a success, just not as much as originally anticipated. That said, if the 20,000 pre-order is correct, I will probably look like a fool.
